And what a winter it has been. I wouldn't necessarily call it a "Winter Wonderland" :) We've had some really high, high's and some really low, low's this season. The highest point would be welcoming our sweet little Daxton Wayne into the world on Dec 15, 2010, weighing in at 7lbs 12oz, 19in long. He has beautiful blue eyes and is a handsome little man. He has a smile that lights up my heart. He is 8 wks today and is coo-ing, smiling, grabbing and eating eating eating. Sometimes he wants to eat every hour.
Kyleigh seems to be getting more jealous by the day but dealing with it okay for now. She has hit the terrible two's head-on! She can throw one massive fit in the floor. Rolling around, screaming, kicking, crying...you name it,she does it. And don't even bother looking, talking or laughing at her if she doesn't want you to because you're sure to get told on! The boys can hardly have a meal without getting tattled on because they looked at her. She's quite the character! The "real" Kyleigh is quite the princess. She likes to dress herself, get her hair put up in ponytails, LOVES shoes, will pick pink any day! She has become quite the Elmo freak too. She just loves him. I finally have a buddy for Disney movies! The boys never liked them (and that's okay, I don't suppose they are supposed to) so I've had to wait to have an excuse to watch them more than once a year :0). Now we're working on our collection.
Brayson is going through middle child syndrome again. He loves Dax and wants to hold him but he is very defiant towards Jason and I. He is even getting into a bit of trouble at school which is SO unlike him. He's gotten better over the past few days. I hope it sticks!
Trevor is doing about the same. Just doing teenage boy things. Listening to music, reading and just being a boy. He's ready for Jason to get the other bedroom ready so he can kick Brayson out of his room.
So the low point of this winter were the snow storms...yes, plural. The first time we received 21", then 3", then 8"....all in 9 days. I was snowed in the house for two weeks with 4 kids! By snowed in, I mean we didn't leave the house! I literaly thought I might lose it a few times. We all managed to make it out alive.
We all finally got out of the house together on Sat and went to Mathis Brothers to look at new furniture for the living room and much to my disbelief, they all behaved rather well...same for dinner and Target afterwards.
While we were snowed in and Trevor & Brayson were driving me nuts, I decided to make a Chore Chart so they could start earning an allowance. It actually is working out quite well. I'm very surprised! We even got a rare "Thank You" from Brayson after we gave him his $5 and took them to Target to spend it. He even said he had a good time with us...as everyone close to him knows that he never has a good time doing anything and no one ever gets him good presents for his birthday or Christmas (his own words). I hope this continues to work fairly well.
Maybe I won't take 3 months to update next time :)

And it's week #.........
35! Yup, almost there with only 5 weeks to spare. I can hardly believe that I am here about to have a 4th child in our home! I always thought that I wanted a large family and really thought it wouldn't ever happen but here we are about to have a HUGE family (at least by my standards). I think we'll feel pretty complete now and if we don't, someone please knock us upside the heads!!!! I mean that wholeheartedly.
As soon as we had Kyleigh home, I was asking Jason if he wanted to have just one more and then we both laughed at the thought but God was smiling b/c he knew we would.
We are almost half-way to having a fourth bedroom! Jason and his friend are putting the drywall up this weekend. Then comes spackling, painting and finally, carpet! I'm so excited to finally get this done! We certainly could use the space.
It seems like a lot is going on right now but I honestly couldn't tell you what...it all gets jumbled together between work, kids homework, housekeeping and life in general.
Kyleigh went to her 2 yr checkup yesterday and I'm proud to say that she is above the curve on speech! I just love that little girl and I'm so glad she's in our life! Girls certainly are sweet little gifts. Boys are wonderful too in their own way but there's something about mothers and daughters when they are little. I'm not going to be prepared for when she wants nothing to do with me as a teenager...maybe she'll be one of the few who still confides in her mom :)
Brayson is at a wacky age right now where he thinks he's super smart, handsome and all around awesome and doesn't like being told what to do or follow rules. Did I mention that his HUGE head doesn't fit through doorways anymore?? Ok, he's not quite that bad. He does really well in school just has an attitude at home.
Trevor has the opposite problem with doing pretty well at home and doing not so well in school. We're getting there but really worried about him passing 5th grade since he already failed the first 9 weeks. I think it might be sinking in that he doesn't want to be the oldest person in elementary school next year.

Week 27
I know that I keep saying this, but I have never felt that I have missed most of my pregnancy like this. It's going by so fast! Maybe it's because I've already done this twice before or b/c my life is so busy.
Little Dax is really really kicking along lately. Just this morning while I was watching the news before I woke the other kids, I could actually feel toes or fingers....not sure. I didn't get to examine because he moved again quickly. He's an active little booger!
Last night I took Kyleigh shopping with me and we had an awesome Mother-Daughter time. We went to Old Navy, TJ Maxx and Target. We even ate dinner together at Target. So much fun. The girl is a shop-a-holic. She loves clothes and SHOES! She did NOT like it when I had to find some stuff for the boys. She didn't mind looking at baby stuff for Dax but was repeadtedly drawn to "pink" stuff.
Brayson is doing pretty well in school so far. He is trying to get A's on everything so they will think he's super smart and let him skip 2nd grade. His whole reason for wanting to skip 2nd grade: To play tackle football sooner. Yep, hidden agenda.
Trevor is having a rough go of 5th grade. He says it's not what he expected it to be and it is much harder than 4th. No matter how much you warn somebody about something, they never understand until the event happens. I had a meeting with all of his 5th grade teachers, counselor and resource lab teacher. We went over his IEP and revised it to suit his needs this year. Overall, it went wonderfully! I got a good vibe from all the teachers and believe they are all looking out for his best interest. My worst fear about this year was him falling behind and no one noticing. I hear that happens in 6th grade b/c the environment is not as controlled. However, we will be able to keep him on an IEP as long as he qualifies so we will have a leg to stand on if he starts getting behind. We'll worry about that next year though. Right now, let's get this kid caught up! He's super smart but tries to pull the wool over the teachers eyes by acting like he can't read on a 5th grade level or say he can't do other things. The child reads encyclopedias at home! He's making 100's on all of his test but not turning in his classwork so he's getting zeros. We know that he's extremely intellegent. We've just got to keep him interested so he can graduate high school and move on to a trade school where he can pursue a career in the arts like he wants to. He doesn't understand why he can't work "now". :)
Jason is doing pretty well. He is getting used to being back on route finally. I sure like this Jason better than Manager Jason. He's not as irritable from being bothered by everyones problems at work. He just has to worry about him!
Next weekend, I will be attending my 10yr HS reunion! I'm really excited about it. Since I was the class president, I had the joy of putting it together and getting a hold of everyone. It wasn't too complicated due to the fact that I graduated with a whopping 19 classmates! Yes, 19! We'll have a great time. I'm bummed that I won't be able to have a margarita or two with my girls but having a baby is much more rewarding :)

Week 22
22 weeks already! I can't believe how fast this is going by. It almost makes me sad and a little anxious. I'm not ready for him to be here...not even close! We still have building on our house to do to make room for our new little one and millions of other things.
We have decided on a name! It took us a lot longer for this little guy. Here it is....Daxton Wayne Green....we'll call him Dax. Wayne is a family name in Jason's family and in mine. I think we've covered 4 people with "Wayne" :)
All of the kids (as far as I can tell) are really receptive of the idea of having another little sibling. Of course Brayson was really excited about Kyleigh until she actually arrived!
There is a new little dance place called Tippie Toes Dance Studio coming to Owasso. I'm thinking about enrolling Kyleigh in the 18 mo to 3 yr class. The only thing is that her class is at 10:30 in the morning when I happen to be at work. I'm sure I can work something out. I really want to get her into something and get a little more interactive. She's such a little mover & shaker.
Baseball starts once again at the beginning of Sept! It seems like it just ended. It will run into Mid Oct. Brayson is really upset that he can't play tackle football until after 2nd grade. He swears he's tough enough and I'm quite sure he is!
Trevor I think is getting more excited about being in the 5th grade. It's the top of the school ya know! They start next Wed and will be riding the bus. I hope they don't get kicked off for being rowdy!
Jason and I celebrated our 7yr anniversary last week. I can't believe it's been that long! We kept it local and stayed in Owasso. We ate at Logans Roadhouse and then went to see Inception and it was PHENOMENAL! Such a good flick! I did not get up to go to the potty one time, although I had to go for over an hour...yikes!

AND........
It's a boy!!!! We couldn't be happier! We thought we wanted another girl but since finding out we are going to have another boy, we are happy to only have one princess in our house! She's wonderful, beautiful and graceful....but we only need one!
We have decided on a name but not quite ready to share with the world. We've always been quick on name picking and glad we did the same with #4.
Everything is going great! Trevor turns 12, yes 12, next month. On the day school starts, of course. He's not too thrilled about that but will be when they make a big deal about it at his new school :)
Brayson is staying with his Mimi in Amarillo until Friday, which will make two weeks. We've started to miss our little night owl and want him back but I can wait until Friday.
Kyleigh is growing more everyday. She's exercising her words more frequently and letting us know just when we do something not to her liking! She's a doll and a joy to have!
We went to McLean, TX (my home town) the weekend before last and had a great time visiting with my family and friends for a day. Jason drove back with Trevor and Kyleigh and I drove back alone the next day. We are buying my Grandma's Denali from her. She had knee replacement surgery and had to get a minivan to accommodate getting in and out easier. She hated the switch but I think she's liking the gas mileage a little better :) We also were in desperate need of a vehicle to support our ever-expanding family :) My Durango that we just bought last year seated only 5. That certainly wasn't going to fly! Now, I'm driving what feels like a bus but I love it!
Next week is our 7th Anniversary! We are celebrating this weekend by going to eat Japanese or Cajun then going to see Inception in 3D. I love my Jason and so glad we met!!!!!

In with the new but not out with the old
That would mean that we are having another baby! I'm about 13 wks along and due December 14th. I can't believe we will have 4 children running around our house....or should I say running our house?? We are hoping for a girl but, of course, will be happy with a boy too. Does it really matter when you hit the 4 mark? lol.
I'm sure a LOT has happened since the last time I posted, which was several months ago. We are currently into baseball season with Brayson and their stellar team. Today he started a hitting camp at the Owasso HS. He's having so much fun. That kid is going to be an all star.
Kyleigh is 19 mo. now and is such a sweet little lady! She is finally starting to say more than 5 words. We thought that kid would never talk. Maybe she just didn't have anything to say until now. She says: mom, dad, up, down, off, there she is (for peek-a-boo), papa, a version of grandma, mimi, a version of Brayson & Trevor, dog, cat, moo, quack, duck, cluck cluck, stop, ruff ruff, ball and diaper. I'm sure I left a few out....She loves going to Brayson's baseball games and swimming in the lake (yuck). Mommy is not a fan of swimming in the lake. Laying on a float on the lake, yes, but no swimming.
Trevor is currently in Amarillo until July. He left 3 days after school let out and will be gone for over a month. He's having a really good time and I'm glad.
This past weekend was really fun. My mom came into town with her friend and my sister on Thursday. We went to see the Driller's play and watched Brayson's team run out on the field with the big players. They thought that was so cool. Fri my mom took the kids to the zoo and then took Brayson to see Shrek Forever After. Fri night we went to a cookout at our friends house and watched the kids swim. Later we adults got in and had some fun. I think we got home around 12:30. Wowza that was a long night. Sat we went to the casino where my mom was staying where I proceeded to lose $20 (all I will ever gamble with). I was up $147 and lost it all....dang it! Sunday we just lounged around and kinda cleaned house here and there. My mom came by to say goodbye to us and the kids. We were sad to see her go.
Jason and I are doing pretty well. We are building a room in the garage for one or two of the kiddos to stay. If it's a girl, then the girls will stay out there. If it's a boy, Brayson and he will stay out there. We haven't started yet but will before the summer is over. It's going to be a long project. I would love to just sell it and move into a 4 bedroom....ha, I'll just keep dreaming.
Next Wed, Connie, me, my sis-in-laws and three of my oldest nieces are going to NYC. I can't wait! It's going to be so much fun, especially with our crazy crew!

Where is Spring?
I'm pretty tired of all the cold weather by now. I'm sure most everyone is, especially us here in the midwest all the way to the east coast line. I hope we do not get anymore snow but I'm sure we will before March 20th arrives. Of course, we did get snow in April last year so I'm not going to count my chickens until May!
Everyone is doing pretty well at our house. Kyleigh has turned one since my last post and she had a wonderful little party. She's doing pretty well right now. I will say that she is our little drama queen! She says: Mama, daddy, more, I did it, yes, no and her own little words that no one understands. She signs: more, bath and thank you. She listens very well. She will go get most things that I ask her too. I think it makes her feel like a big girl when she gets to retrieve things. She loves to throw her diapers away. Don't you dare try to take it to the trash can for her...that results in a "throw herself to the floor, kicking and screaming" fit. She's a doll!
Brayson is a little smart-alec these days, but still a great little boy. He'll be turning 6 in March. That seems to be all we hear about. I've had his present bought since December!!! That's a shocker! Today is his Valentine's Day party at school and he is WAY excited about it. He just loves doing those things at school. I really don't even know what he does or what he eats at school because the little booger won't tell me. Any time I ask him what he did or ate, he responds with "I don't know" or "I can't remember"...ugh! His teacher isn't the friendliest so I don't communicate with her very often. In fact, I try not to. We are just trying to get through kindergarten and get to 1st grade. I've never had a problem with any of the teachers until her. Jason is, again, coaching his baseball team and that starts in mid-March. Of course all Brayson is focused on is playing football next year. Lol. It oughta be a sight with this group of boys. They are so wild!
Trevor is doing pretty well. He is a pre-teen, so we deal with quite a bit of attitude (imagine that) but he has matured quite a bit since the start of the school year. I am really looking forward to the next few years with him. It's exciting to watch your kids grow up and wonder what they will be in their adult lives. He's still a big video gamer and artist. He draws constantly and that reflects in his school work. We are working on separating school work from drawing time. I guess he thinks any time he has a pencil in his hand, it's okay to draw.....I really hope he goes to art school some day. I've already been looking at a school in Savannah, Georgia that I think he would love. I know, I know; he's only 11 but planning ahead is always good right?? Haha.
Jason and I are going to celebrate Valentines Day this Sat. Even though I think V-day is stupid, it's still a good reason for a date with my sweetie! We hope to go see the movie "Valentine's Day", eat a sushi appetizer and then go to the Melting Pot. We have reservations at 9 for TMP. I'm so excited to eat there. We haven't been in 4 years or so.

I am really looking forward to the next few years with him. It's exciting to watch your kids grow up and wonder what they will be in their adult lives. He's still a big video gamer and artist. He draws constantly and that reflects in his school work. We are working on separating school work from drawing time. I guess he thinks any time he has a pencil in his hand, it's okay to draw.....I really hope he goes to art school some day. I've already been looking at a school in Savannah, Georgia that I think he would love. I know, I know; he's only 11 but planning ahead is always good right?? Haha.
Jason and I are going to celebrate Valentines Day this Sat. Even though I think V-day is stupid, it's still a good reason for a date with my sweetie! We hope to go see the movie "Valentine's Day", eat a sushi appetizer and then go to the Melting Pot. We have reservations at 9 for TMP. I'm so excited to eat there. We haven't been in 4 years or so.
Well, that's all I have time for now. Hopefully it won't take me almost 6 months to write again :)

I'm Extracurricular-ed out!
I really don't even remember what all has happened in the last month...lol
Since Aug 3rd, we have had 4 football practices a week and for the past two weeks we've thrown in scrimmages on Saturdays....what the heck were we thinking getting involved in football? Trevor has been begging us for the past 3 years to let him play. We haven't, up until now, for two reasons. 1. Total cost (gas, uniforms, entry fee, equipment, blah blah blah) is around $400. 2. He wasn't ready mentally with his condition to play until this year. With costs like that who wants to waste the money?
Since last Tuesday we started coaching Brayson's fall baseball team. YIKES! That means we have him in practices on Thursdays and he has double-header games on Sundays. That makes us living out of our car 6 days a week. Wowza.
I think we're crazy but we are having a good time! Kyleigh is so tired of her carseat...I think I'm going to go ahead and upgrade her to her big-girl carseat so she doesn't have to be smashed into that carrier anymore. She still fits in it length-wise but she's getting a little too chubby for it :)
Kyleigh went to her 9mo. appt just shy of her 10mo. anniv. yesterday :) When she was supposed to go, we were in Chicago and then we had friends from Amarillo the week after that then I lost my mind somewhere and couldn't get her in until then. She weighed in at 20.6 lbs and was 27in long. All in all...she's short and chubby! She's in the 16th percentile for her height and 56 percentile for her weight and I said "so you're telling me she's short and fat?"...haha We went through the repertoire of questions and then the nurse practitioner said "she's perfect"...I agree wholeheartedly with her!
She is crawling like crazy, pulling up and walking along things. She is babbling still and always all smiles! Her favorite foods are eggs, ice cream, baby cookies, any baby food (mostly spaghetti), oatmeal, yogurt, rice....almost anything! She's a very good eater. She will look at the correct parent when I call us out. She most recently started directing "mama" and "dada" at us. I just love that little doll!
Trevor just celebrated his 11th B-day on the 18th! I am now letting him consider himself a "Pre-teen" as much as I hate to see this stage near....only because that means that he is growing up and I'm getting older...haha. He got a Chicago Cubs wallet with money in it and we are taking him and a friend to the drag races as soon as they don't have a night game on a Saturday.
Brayson started Kindergarten this past Wednesday. That boy is TOO big for his britches! He is very defiant right now with Jason and me. Perfectly behaved for almost everyone else besides us. I think he's still in the middle of his middle-child-syndrome. I hear it doesn't subside until around 9.....I don't know if I can battle it that long but I'm going to give it my best shot. Any advice out there is welcomed!

Our friends Giff and Jeri were in town the weekend before (which was also their anniv.) so we went out and celebrated by going to eat downtown at McNellies and then ended at the Vault in Owasso. Good Times! Wish there were more like that but not with our current schedule!
This next weekend we have Trevor's first football game Sat, Brayson's first coach pitch game Sun, Church and Cale's 1st B-day party Sun. I will be taking Miss Kyleigh to the party while Jason and Trev go to the game. Sad I have to miss Brayson's game but very glad for some family time with my girl!
I almost forgot to mention our Chicago trip! It was fabulous! We stayed in the Gold Coast district, right next to the lake and the Magnificent Mile. It was beautiful! We went to watch our beloved Cubbies play (and they won) and also took in some lovely cuisine. We didn't dare eat at any of the restaurants next to the hotel.....some of the plates were over $150.00. We joked that they would probably charge $25 for a pea or a glass of water with no ice :) We did have our run-ins with quite a few bums but most of them were nice and carried a good conversation. I was only scared once when Jason wanted to walk to McDonalds at 1am to get something to eat about 6 blocks away....that was the scariest trip of my life....well besides the time we had to drive 50mph through a really rough neighborhood in St Louis...

Kyleigh has grown OH so much over the past couple of months. So far she says: Mama, Dada, bubba and oodles of other baby sounds. She now dances to music ALL the time! She is full of smiles even when she doesn't feel very well. She is sitting up, rocking on all fours, scooting backwards, rolling around the living room, sleeping in her "own" room! and has quite the personality! She also has her two bottom teeth. We love and adore her SO SO much!
Trevor has been gone for about a month to visit his mom and my family in Amarillo and returns today with my sister, Bailey, in tow. She is coming to stay with us for 3 wks until we go to Chicago at the end of the month. At which point, my mom is taking Brayson and Kyleigh with her while Trev stays with Grandma to attend football camp in the evenings.
Yes, that's right, Jason and I are going on vacation without kids! We are taking our friends Chad and Chasity to The Windy City with us for a fun filled trip to see the one and only Cubbies! On Sunday while the boys are at an all day concert, us girls are going to have a spa and shopping day!! Look out, here we come!
Brayson just got finished with his first crack at t-ball! It was a really fun and challenging season. They loved playing in the dirt and sliding into home more than anything. He doesn't get much of a break as we will be signing him up for fall t-ball soon. We will be busy parents this fall with Trev in football and Bray in t-ball....I don't know what we are trying to do to ourselves???!!!
This past weekend, Jason and his Grandpa Rampey built a much needed porch rail on our house. It looks fantastic! I'm so proud of them! Two wks prior, we repainted the living room and we are no longer lounging in an avacado colored room. Next step, new carpet and eventually stained concrete in our kitchen and dining areas.
For the past couple of months, I have been running around like a chicken with my head cut off, as my grandma used to say :) With t-ball, work, babysitter, trying to grocery shop, cleaning house, doing laundry, working on the house....I have not had time to breathe! Hopefully after our yearly audit at work (next Mon) is over, I will be able to relax a little bit.

....I can't believe I've actually posted two blogs in one day.....write it down, it may never happen again!
Kyleigh's first trip to the park!
Sunday was SUCH a nice day outside, I just couldn't resist going to the park! Kyleigh wasn't feeling to well but she needed to get outside.
We spent much of last week either in the doctors office or at home due to Brayson being sick and then Kyleigh catching his sickness.
The Friday before last, Brayson was sick to his stomach after school and started running a fever. We went to the doc on Tues (after his tummy was feeling better) thinking that he was all better because he wasn't throwing up anymore but it was the soonest we could get in so I decided to take him in anyway. He ended up having both ears infected and an upper respiratory infection. The very next day he and Kyleigh were both running fevers. So off to the doc we went again with Kyleigh. She had the same as Brayson minus one ear infection. They are both taking antibiotics and she has to have breathing treatments. Finally after one more trip to the doc on Friday, the fevers ended and everyone is on their way to feeling much better!
I always feel like one of those moms that freaks out over everything and always feel like the doctor thinks I'm some "wacko" mom who brings her kids in at the site of a runny nose. Then I think to myself, it is RSV season and Kyleigh's already had that once...better safe than sorry! They can just deal with me being a "wacko" and see my kids anyway. Turns out, I was right to take them in and convinced myself that I'm not a hypocondriac.
Thank goodness Trevor is one of those kids that gets sick once every 4 years or more!
On another note, my friend Melodie and I have started making baby bows! It has been so much fun. I've made 5 so far. They are getting better each time. Kyleigh will probably turn out to be a little girl that hates to wear hair bows and that would break my heart into pieces! Maybe I can keep her a girly-girl for at least the first few years :)
She will be 5 months old next Wednesday. It has gone by faster than ever! So far this month, we have started a few solids. She likes sweet potatoes, green beens and peas. She kind of likes carrots but not too much. She does not like fruits yet. I think they are a little too tart for her to handle right now but I always try just a little bit. She really liked rice cereal until I started the veggies and now she wants nothing to do with that either. She gets the cutest smile on her face when she's eating one of her faves. I hope I remember to get my camera out for her next solids meal.
She loves playing in her jumperoo, playing with the little birdie on her bouncer, rubbing her precious little feet together, falling asleep next to mommy, getting kisses from daddy, hearing songs from her bubba's, and talking constantly! She's really coming along. She doesn't like to roll over yet. She does it here and there but not very much.

So much, so little time.........
I have wanted to update this so many times over the past month and have not had the time to do so. The day after my last blog, we decided we better go to Amarillo to visit my Grandpa Weaver. He had a tumor removed from his pancreas. Pancreatic cancer is one of the worst in regards to the survival rate so I thought I'd better high-tail it down there and see him. He was in ICU the whole time we were there so he did not get to meet Kyleigh. Since then, he's had a heart attack and will now be seeing a cardiologist about triple-bypass surgery next Tues.
Update on the Kids.....
1. Trevor - Still doing fantastic in school. He's becoming a really good kid and a joy to be around. He's finally coming out of the ADHD cloud that engulfed him until now. He's really into watching COPS and shows like that....I do not care for that but I was into that too at his age.
2. Brayson - Oh my, what to say about the middle child???? He's really struggling with following directions...mainly the ones given by ME. We butt heads quite often. He just doesn't understand why he can't have a popsicle right before dinner or have 5 of them for a snack. He doesn't want to shower, brush his teeth or do anything that would make him smell like anything other than a pile of dirt. In fact, I'm pretty sure a pile of dirt smells better than him most of the time...haha.
3. Kyleigh - She will be 4 months on the 25th of this month! She is now at the end of her battle with RSV. I'm so ready for it to be completely gone! She didn't ever need breathing treatments but her cough was terrible. Poor thing slept for most of the 5 days we were at home with her. I stayed home Friday afternoon thru Monday, then Jason stayed home Tuesday. I fixed her hair for the first time today. It is too cute! I put a little ponytail on the top of her head and then put a bow-clippie on her. She wants to sit by herself so bad. I'm going to get her a bumbo chair soon! I think I'm also going to invest in a highchair so she can sit in the kitchen with me while I do the dishes and what-not. She has the MOST beautiful smile. I just love it. It's amazing how long a mom can sit and just stare at her sleeping baby. They are so precious.

I've had better months, that's for sure. My best-friends dad passed away from pancreatic cancer on Tuesday. That means that me and Kyleigh are going to Amarillo. We are flying out tomorrow afternoon and staying until Sunday evening. What a rushed week!!!!
With Kyleigh being sick and me having a bladder infection, I feel like I've missed 2 wks of work throughout the whole ordeal.
On a brighter note, Jason is finally going to ditch his current position and go back to what he was doing before. We are completely excited. Today, he's getting a Jeep since we will have to return the company car.
We are also shopping around for wood/laminate flooring.....what a pain that's turning out to be. I'm sure we'll find a good deal soon. I just want to take my time and find the best thing and Jason just wants to get them done.....patience is a virtue, right? The carpet in the house is AWFUL....it's just awful. Did I mention it was awful? I'm so embarassed when someone comes over. The person before us obviously did not clean up after themselves whatsoever when it came to spills on the carpet. I want to have a "burn the carpet" party when we pull it up....lol
I'm excited to go back home this week. I'm sad for the reason but glad to get to see some of my close friends from high school. We have such a good time when we get together.
On Sunday we will go visit my Grandpa and he will finally get to meet Kyleigh.
Jason has a bowling tourney this weekend and Trevor is going to go with him. Connie will be keeping Brayson...bless her soul! She's going to just fall over in her bed when she gets rid of him on Sunday. She'll need to catch up from all the energy she has to use.

BTW, they have some of the best sushi I've ever had....weird right? So anyway, we are on our way to Osaka and our friends call and say that there are two fire engines and an ambulance in front of the restaurant. All the customers are standing outside. (I have no clue what happened) We decided to go to Shoguns instead. Well, the wait was over an hour so we went across the street to the mall and shopped around. I got the cutest dress for Kyleigh to wear Easter Sunday. We finally got to eat around 9 or so at Shoguns. It was really good. I have to say, I wasn't that impressed though. I had my heart set on eating at Osaka for nearly a month. Oh well, maybe next time.
Next blog, I'll post some pics. I'm too tired to mess with that right now.

It's finally over!
I really love Christmas but I am SO glad it's over! We were busy going to and fro and my house is a wreck. We opened presents then left immediately to go to Uncle Mike's. We had such a good time seeing everyone and loving on the new little babies! We came home that afternoon, unloaded the car and Connie came over to watch movies with us. She stayed until Friday afternoon. We actually got 6 movies in this year. We watched Miracle on 34th Street (the old one), It's a Wonderful Life, Home Alone, The Bishops Wife, Christmas Vacation (my favorite) & A Christmas Story. We usually end up falling asleep over at her house and only get in 3. This year we did it at our house....hopefully we can keep doing it that way.
Saturday we got up and I baked 2 cakes and did some laundry. Then we got ready and went out to Grandma Connie's to have Christmas with them and celebrate her birthday. We had a great time visiting with family that came up from Dallas.
Yesterday we got up early and drove to Weatherford, OK to meet my Mom. She took Brayson and Trevor back to Amarillo with her. She dropped Trevor off with his mom and has Brayson for a few days. They are having a blast. She took him to see The Tale of Despereaux today and then he will go visit my Dad's side of the family tonight. My mom just called while I'm typing this and told me that he is riding his skateboard up and down a ramp. I told her if she breaks it, she buys it (refering to Brayson)...hehe!
On our way back from Weatherford, we went and ate at Abuelo's in Bricktown (OKC) to celebrate my birthday. I've never been down there. It's really a nice place to visit. Then we packed it on up and headed for Tulsa. We got home aroun 7 last night. We tried to watch a movie and I ended up falling asleep with Kyleigh on the couch.
Kyleigh was such a good traveler! She slept both ways. I prefer she not sleep so much but what can ya do when a baby hasn't had a good nap in 4 days do to all of the Christmas shinanigans.
Kyleigh had to have her 2mo. shots today. Good thing Daddy was off work so he could take her. Mommy does not do well with that at all! Jason said that she did really well! We are glad that the boys are gone for a few days so we can bond with her a little more. She is really starting to coo so much. This morning she woke up around 5 to eat. Afterwards she just layed there and made the loudest sounds. Although they were cute, I really wanted to catch that last hour of sleep....that didn't happen. As soon as I fell asleep, Jason was poking me because I was snoring so loud. As a result of that, I didn't ever fall back into lala land.

It's been a LONG while
About 2wks ago, right before I came back to work, I had a this long blog typed up and was uploading pictures when I had to run out and take Brayson to school. When I got back Jason was sitting at the computer and I realized that he had closed my window....Oh, I was so ticked but I forgave him :) So now I'm going to post just a few pictures and hopefully catch you up on what's been happening.
Let's start with Thanksgiving. My Mom, Grandma and sisters came and we had a wonderful time. I was so happy that we didn't have to travel with our new bundle of joy!
I started back to work and this is the start of my third week. All is going well! And to tell you the truth, I'm glad to have the break. Most of my maternity leave was spent (obviously) taking care of Kyleigh, working from home, taking care of the house, running Brayson to and from school (at 12:45 and 3:30), picking up Trevor and finally making sure I got a shower everyday. It was nice to be home but I am really glad to be here at the office. I could stand being a housewife if I didn't have to work from home and got myself on an easier schedule. Kyleigh is doing very well at the sitters. They just love her to pieces. I'm so glad to have such wonderful caregivers for my children!
This past Saturday we attended the Wood family Christmas get together. We really had a great time! The kids got to see Santa and little cousin Easton was quite the hoot when it came time to say the prayer before we ate! Brayson and Easton had such a good time playing together. We got to see little Cale who is now 3 months old! Kyleigh finally wore her John Deere boots and they are too cute for words!
Today is our WSA Christmas luncheon. Guess who was supposed to go by and get the ham? Oh yeah, that was me. And guess who forgot to go get it this weekend....oh yeah, that was me too! I feel like such a loser. But we can all laugh at my expense later. It won't be the first or the last time and that is a fact!
So Christmas is this Thursday. I can't believe it is here already. I don't have all of my shopping done yet. I usually have it all done before December gets here but we had our hands full with a new baby and I just didn't plan ahead. So I'll be out with all of the crazies doing last minute shopping. We usually don't wrap until Christmas Eve due to curious little minds so that won't be much of a change. I just hope I'm able to find some decent wrapping paper still!
Kyleigh is going to have her 2mo. checkup tomorrow morning. Oh, how I dread that appt! I can't stand to be in the room when the kids get shots. I tear up and try not to cry but I always do when the nurses leave the room. I just hate them! I wish they could combine them all into one hefty shot instead of poking them 3 or 4 times. She had to go see the doc two weeks ago and weighed 10.2lbs and was 22in. long. I'm interested to see what she weighs now that she's chunked up a bit. I searched and searched for her Christmas gift and finally stumbled upon the cutest thing. I wanted to get her a keepsake since she really won't be able to play with anything just yet. And also something that I could continue to get her year after year. I ended up getting her a 12" Precious Moments Mommy and Me doll. After this year I can start to get her collectible figurines. I'm so glad that I have a little girl now that I can get things like that for.
Brayson is on his Christmas break from school and he is terribly sad about it. He does not like to take a break. He absolutely loves school. He's starting to get used to these little breaks but when they had their first long stint from school (fall break), he would cry and assure me that he WAS having school today. It's so cute to see them so eager about school! He is very excited about Christmas this year. He really wants a grey football....he's cheap! But he does want a couple of other things but they are pretty simple as well.
Trevor is doing just as well. He, of course, is starting to want more expensive things like an iPod, laptop, Xbox 360 and such, all of which he is not getting. I insist that he is only 10 and will not be carrying around $1000 dollars worth of electronics. And he wants a cell phone...I'm not about to give a 10yr old a cell phone. I see all of these kids his age with them and it drives me nuts! I know that this is the "digital age" but that just chaps my hide to see these youngsters with phones. He is getting MonsterJam tickets though and he will be so thrilled! He loves monster trucks and watches the shows about them. I can't wait to see his face!
We will be going over to Uncle Mike's for the Christmas Day gathering. I can't wait to see all of the babies together! Lots of picture taking!!!

YES! Kyleigh is HERE!
I can't believe I'm actually a mommy to a beautiful little girl! After a LONG labor, we finally have her here!
She was born October 25th 2008 was 7lbs 6oz and 20in long. She has a massive amount of hair and it is so pretty. All the nurses were commenting on her pretty highlights...lol
I was so sure that I was going to have to be induced but low and behold I actually went into labor on my own just like I wanted to do. I did however get an epidural which I didn't want. My contractions started out btwn 1 & 3 min apart and were extremely hard to get through. When we went in 6hrs later, I was only dilated to a 1 and was 80% efaced. I was sorely disappointed. We decided to stay in the hospital and wait it out. The nurses told me that I shouldn't be having such painful contractions until I was dilated to about a 7. So at 6:30am (12hrs of contractions & finally dilated to a 4) I decided I needed to get the epidural so I could have some energy left to push. At 11:30am we decided it was time to start pushing and at 2:03pm she decided to grace us with her presence!

Baby Update
We still do not have our new addition. I still have not dilated so we are going to be induced next Wed morning if I haven't had her on my own by then. I really want to avoid being induced but I'm accepting that I just might have to be. Not that I really have a choice right? :)
Today is my last day at work for a couple of weeks and then I'll be working from home until the beginning of the year. I just can't imagine coming back after six weeks of being gone. What a disaster that would be. I'm not going to be doing every aspect of my job title, only what I can do at the house. I'm actually looking forward to that. When I had Brayson, I got a little stir-crazy being stuck in the house all day with nothing to do but clean. I just can't handle that.
I'm really hoping that I get to post pics next time I update. In fact, I'm just going to make this my last post until Kyleigh arrives!

So it's Wednesday
And still no baby. Yesterday was my predicted due date. Today I was supposed to see my dr....didn't happen. She had a complicated delivery and I had to be rescheduled for tomorrow. I'm starting to wonder if God kept me out of her office today because he didn't want me to be disappointed or something. I really hope that something is going on down there and that I will be dilated to ANYTHING tomorrow. She can only come out....we know that she can't stay in there forever although I sometimes feel that way. I really don't even feel like I'm 40 wks. Maybe that's because I've been through this before. With Brayson, I felt all of 40 wks starting at 36 wks. Of course I had to have a non-stress test with him every week after 34wks, because he had fetal arythmia, which made me so tired....just sitting there for an hour doing nothing will do that to ya.
Well, I guess that's all for my update this time. Cross your fingers for me!

Nearly there
39 wks, 3 days and counting! It's almost time for Kyleigh to arrive. I'm counting down the days (as if it were possible for me to know)! Brayson said on Monday that he thinks she'll be here in 5 more days. Well, tomorrow would be that 5th day and that would make my tired body and mind SO happy! At least I think it will until I start remembering the sleepless nights and a baby constantly attached to me (for breastfeeding), throw 2 more kids & a husband into the mix....doesn't sound too relaxing to me or any less tiring. BUT having a baby around is always so sweet!
Since I've opted not to be induced unless absolutely necessary, there is no way for me to even start to predict when labor will start. I went to my weekly checkup on Wed and had to see the other doc in the practice since mine is out of town all this week. He gave me some bad news.....I'm thick and closed. Nothing is happening....at least not at that point. He kindly told me not to worry because things could turn around in an instant and I could be in labor at any time.....I wanted to scream! :0) Not really, I'm fine with it because I still have a few small things to get squared away at the office before she gets here.
On to the rest of the family, Brayson has been incredibly funny this week. He really is becoming such a cute little person! He's figured out how to play games by himself on nickjr.com this week and we can hardly get our little addict off the computer for bed at night!
Trevor has been out of school since Wed for fall break and has been driving me nuts! He's here at the office with me all day. I'm very glad that he is having such a stellar year this year at school! Things have really started to turn around for him. He thinks that since he's 10 now, that he is considered a "pre-teen". Kids are so anxious to grow up! I know I was the same way and now I find myself saying the exact same things to him as my mom said to me about rushing to grow up.
Jason is doing great as well. He's still playing softball on Friday nights, watching football all day Sat and Sun, bowling on Mondays and spending time with us in between :0) He's been incredibly helpful lately and I'm so lucky to have him around! Otherwise my kids would get tired of picking stuff up off the floor for me since I can't bend over anymore!
Well, that's it for now. Hopefully the next time I write, I will be posting pics of Kyleigh Rene'!

It's almost done!!!
So we are about 95% complete! We still have to buy a few more pieces of furniture and then it will be finished! Here are the latest pics:
Kim, just to answer your question from the last post....neither one of us are that creative....so we hired our preacher to come draw-in the ribbon and then we painted it in :) We did, however, engineer the polka-dots wall!
