39 wks, 3 days and counting! It's almost time for Kyleigh to arrive. I'm counting down the days (as if it were possible for me to know)! Brayson said on Monday that he thinks she'll be here in 5 more days. Well, tomorrow would be that 5th day and that would make my tired body and mind SO happy! At least I think it will until I start remembering the sleepless nights and a baby constantly attached to me (for breastfeeding), throw 2 more kids & a husband into the mix....doesn't sound too relaxing to me or any less tiring. BUT having a baby around is always so sweet!
Since I've opted not to be induced unless absolutely necessary, there is no way for me to even start to predict when labor will start. I went to my weekly checkup on Wed and had to see the other doc in the practice since mine is out of town all this week. He gave me some bad news.....I'm thick and closed. Nothing is happening....at least not at that point. He kindly told me not to worry because things could turn around in an instant and I could be in labor at any time.....I wanted to scream! :0) Not really, I'm fine with it because I still have a few small things to get squared away at the office before she gets here.
On to the rest of the family, Brayson has been incredibly funny this week. He really is becoming such a cute little person! He's figured out how to play games by himself on nickjr.com this week and we can hardly get our little addict off the computer for bed at night!
Trevor has been out of school since Wed for fall break and has been driving me nuts! He's here at the office with me all day. I'm very glad that he is having such a stellar year this year at school! Things have really started to turn around for him. He thinks that since he's 10 now, that he is considered a "pre-teen". Kids are so anxious to grow up! I know I was the same way and now I find myself saying the exact same things to him as my mom said to me about rushing to grow up.
Jason is doing great as well. He's still playing softball on Friday nights, watching football all day Sat and Sun, bowling on Mondays and spending time with us in between :0) He's been incredibly helpful lately and I'm so lucky to have him around! Otherwise my kids would get tired of picking stuff up off the floor for me since I can't bend over anymore!
Well, that's it for now. Hopefully the next time I write, I will be posting pics of Kyleigh Rene'!

It's almost done!!!
So we are about 95% complete! We still have to buy a few more pieces of furniture and then it will be finished! Here are the latest pics:

Kim, just to answer your question from the last post....neither one of us are that creative....so we hired our preacher to come draw-in the ribbon and then we painted it in :) We did, however, engineer the polka-dots wall!

The Nursery
We finally started painting the nursery! It was really fun! We are not done yet but getting close. We still have trim work to do and still have to hang things on the wall.

Other than nursery business.....Jason and I went out on our "final" date before Kyleigh arrives. We went to the MOST amazing cajun place called Copelands! WOW, I can't say enough about that place. The atmosphere was perfect and the food was spectacular. It was really the perfect choice for our last night alone. Then we went to Kohl's and I got a night gown (I sound like an old lady) since I don't want to be stuck in that stupid old hospital gown the whole time I'm there....ick!
As for the rest of this week, we are working on getting our house in order not only in preparation for our new addition but for the company we will be having over for the all important Red River Shoot Out game between OU and Texas. Brayson and I will be the only ones out of 15 people that will be sporting burnt orange :)
I went for my 37/38wk check-up yesterday and was disappointed to hear that I have not dilated at all. I'm not really that disappointed, but just ready to get things moving along. It's not even time for her to be here but I'm really tired of waddling :) My doc is out of town all of next week so I'm really not trying to rush anythig. She knows my plan so naturally I'm more comfortable with her than some guy that I don't know. I'm meeting him next week but it still makes me nervous since he doesn't know me at all!
Ok, enough blogging for today.....I've got work to do!

End of Summer
So it is the end of Summer. We just celebrated Labor Day this past Monday and that marks the end of the season for me. I'm glad to see it go!!!! Being pregnant and being in hot weather just don't mix that well.
I've noticed that my due date counter is still at 19wks....silly thing! I'm currently at 33wks and still feeling pretty good. There are days, of course, where I feel like my feet weigh as much as a sack of potatoes, my back hurts too bad to move and I just want to scream at every person who crosses my path :) but all in all, I've had a much more pleasant pregnancy this go round!
Everyone at the house is doing quite well. The boys are still doing alright in school. Trevor hates school, but what's new :) Brayson loves school but he'll start to have a bad attitude about it in a couple of years, I'm sure. He's started to practice writing his name at home and it's amazing that at 4 yrs. old they already have them doing this. I remember, barely, being 4 and learning how to color with my mom....we were not learning how to write, that's for sure! :0) Thank goodness for pre-k!

Week 30 and school!
So we are in the "home stretch"! I can't believe we only have around 10 wks left! That's amazing and it has gone by so fast so far. I bet the last 4 wks will be the longest. I think my baby ticker on my page here has a mind of it's own :) Yesterday it said I was 41 wks and today it says I'm 19wks along. Weird! Anyway, I had my 30wk check-up yesterday and everything is running smoothly. I was disappointed to hear that I have to wait 6 more weeks for an ultrasound but I guess I can wait until then...lol!
Both of the boys started school this week and I think that I was the MOST excited about it! I love them both dearly but I needed them to start school :)
Trev's first couple of days have been really good. We (teachers, Jason and I) decided that we would try letting Trevor stay in a "regular" classroom setting all day this year instead of going to his "special" class for part of the day. We were pretty sure that contributed to some of his behaviors because he would feed off the other children in that room to get attention and contribute to his disorder instead of help him learn how to act in society. Thus far, he's done really good just staying with the regular pace of things. I hope this pattern continues.
Brayson was SO ready to start school! He's very disappointed that he can't ride the bus yet. I thought he was going to have separation issues because we took him to "meet the teacher" day on Tuesday and he wouldn't even look at her; he kept hiding behind Jason and I. When we walked in the door Wednesday, he was ready for me to go! Yesterday I told him I was going to walk him in and he told me that I didn't need to go. So I replied by telling him I wouldn't go into his room, that I would just walk down the hallway and he could go in alone. His rebuttle was that he could walk down the hallway all by himself :) He cracks me up!
I took some pictures and I'll get them posted sometime in the near future.
This weekend I have Jason's cousins wedding to go to and we are going to get Kyleigh's room ready to be painted. We have to take the guest bed down, patch all the holes from the previous owner and tape. Then I'll have my preacher and a couple of other gifted friends come over to help us paint and decorate!!!! I'm so excited about getting my little princess' room ready for her!

Catching up
I know it has been over a month since my last blog but rest assured, my life has been anything but calm!
So let me take a look back at what has been going on. For starters, we've been going thru numerous new medications for Trevor, which have been no help. We actually got a full psychological eval for him last Tues. However, he did not finish the test. They say they got what they needed. I hope so! Trevor left this morning to go to his mom's for almost 2 weeks. I hate to see him go there but we sure do need the vacation right now.
Brayson is growing more and more into a BIG little boy! He's so excited about pre-k starting, he can hardly stand it! We've been coloring our hearts out! We're trying to learn how to cut instead of cut-and-rip the paper :) He also has started singing all of the songs at church albeit not always the right words! When he sings on the way home it is quite comical!
While Trevor is gone, we are going to try to get Kyleigh's room painted and put together. All I have right now is the crib to put in there but that will do for now. I really want to go get the armoire but I'll probably wait until Sept or early Oct.
In the past month, I've been to two baby showers and have received 3 invites to wedding showers and baby showers with more to come! It's going to be a busy few months with all of these showers. Luckily, I'll be buying and sending more than attending. I love going but you can only "Ooo" and "Ahh" so much! I'm looking forward to the few I'll be going to around here and flying back to the one for my best friend back home!
I've been feeling pretty well the past few weeks even months but this morning I started feeling really queezy. I think it's due to the start of my third trimester. I started feeling like this at the beginning of the second as well. That's probably not the real reason but that's what I think it is! I'm going to try and beg my way into getting another ultra sound done on Thurs when I go to the doc but we'll see :)
Yesterday we spent the day out at Lake Skiatook and had a great time! The water was perfect for 102ºF! Just beautiful!
Other than work being busier than it has ever been during the summer, the above has been my life for the past month......
